Font Info
Cottonhouse began as a branding project for a new hotel being built from a neoclassical building in Barcelona that was originally used as a cotton house in the industrial market. We were given access to some digital archive in the Spanish libraries where we pulled inspiration from old ephemera and currency. One connection we immediately found between cotton and currency was the guilloche patterns having the appearance of cotton spools. The typographic characters were hence imbued with the regality of the regional coinage and currency.
Suffused with sophistication and personality, Cottonhouse Slab is perfect for luxury, retail, boutique and specialty brands for large and small application. It works seamlessly in bespoke packaging for highly nuanced aesthetic. Cottonhouse immediately bestows history yet modernity to any brand it adorns.
